These interventions can be delivered at your child’s education setting, home, or within our private setting.

Family Support Appointments are for all the family to attend, working on boundaries, communication, and giving everyone a voice.
Education Support is for Education settings to reach out for school referrals and support.
Transition to Secondary School Programme 2026
Supporting Children Through One of Life’s Biggest School Changes
Starting secondary school is an exciting milestone, but it can also bring worries, uncertainty, and big emotions for both children and parents. At Mindful Support Ltd, we have developed our Transition to Secondary School Programme specifically for children currently in Year 6 who will be starting secondary school in September 2026.
Our programme is designed to help children build confidence, manage anxieties, develop resilience, and feel emotionally prepared for the move to their new school.
Flexible Support Options
We offer both:
- 1:1 appointments for personalised support tailored to your child’s individual needs.
- Small group sessions for up to 3 children, providing a supportive environment where children can share experiences, build confidence, and develop social connections.
Group sessions can be particularly beneficial for children who will be attending the same secondary school.
What the Programme Includes
Our transition programme combines all the benefits of our established Emotional Wellbeing Support Sessions with a specific focus on preparing for secondary school.
Children may explore areas such as:
- Managing worries and anxieties about change.
- Building confidence and self-esteem.
- Developing coping strategies.
- Understanding and preparing for new routines.
- Making and maintaining friendships.
- Problem-solving and resilience skills.
- Emotional regulation and wellbeing.
Helping Children Build New Friendships
If your child knows very few, or no other children, moving to their new school, please let us know when you enquire. Where possible, we can match children together in a small group, giving them the opportunity to:
- Meet new peers before starting school.
- Build confidence in social situations.
- Form early friendships and connections.
- Feel less alone during the transition.
If you already know other children who are attending the same school and would like your children to attend together, we would be delighted to hear from you and can discuss creating a suitable group.
Programme Structure
Families can choose between:
- 4-week programme
- 6-week programme
Additional sessions can be added at the end of the programme if further support would be beneficial.

Proven Success & How to Enquire
Following the launch of our transition programme last year, families told us that having support both before and after starting secondary school made a significant difference. Many children reported feeling more confident, reassured, and better prepared for the changes ahead.
Parents particularly valued the continuity of support, helping their child navigate both the anticipation of change and the reality of settling into a new environment.
